The Privateer Project

Documentary work for Wyn Masters, GT Privateer Project.

Each race season, Wyn takes one unsupported downhill mountain biker, a "‘Privateer” and with the help of GT Bicycles and his other sponsors, provides them with a bike, race support and components for the year to get them through the race season.

For this year the Privateer Project was supporting Dom Platt, a young racer who had found himself without a team for the year after a restructuring of his previous team.

I was tasked with filming Dom around the IXS Downhill Cup, pre season race at the Iconic Nevis range World Cup Track, Fort William, Scotland. Over the course of 3 days I filmed Dom, Wyn and their colleagues, competing against some of the top riders in the world and new up and coming talent from Europe.

Additional content required whilst on assignment for Wyn and GT was to film two episodes of “Wyn TV” Wyns own personal Youtube channel where he interviews Elite Athletes and Industry folk at the biggest events of the year. Briefed to shoot edit and publish the same day.
